Our cafeteria team is excited to welcome students back for another great school year! To help your family prepare for a successful start, please review the important information below regarding changes in meal prices, lunch account payments, and Free & Reduced Meal applications.
Meal Prices
Elementary School Student Lunch: $2.75 per meal
Adult Lunch: $5.00
Breakfast: FREE for all students
Adult Breakfast: $3.00
*Each student is eligible to receive one school breakfast free of charge each day.
Adding Money to Your Student’s Lunch Account
Parents and guardians may add money to a student's lunch account by:
Cash: Send cash in a sealed envelope labeled with the student's first and last name and the amount being deposited. Turn the envelope in to the cafeteria.
Check: Send a check in a sealed envelope labeled with the student's first and last name and the amount being deposited. Turn the envelope in to the cafeteria.
MySchoolBucks: Create an account through MySchoolBucks to securely add funds online directly to your student's lunch account.
FREE & REDUCED MEAL APPLICATION
Families must complete a new Free and Reduced Meal Application at the beginning of each school year. When completing the application, please use your student's full legal name exactly as it appears in their enrollment record, including any hyphenated or multiple last names.
If you are new to Barrow County School System, you must complete a new Free and Reduced Meal Application. Applications do not transfer between school districts or counties.
Please note the following exception:
Students currently enrolled in BCSS receiving Food Stamps or TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) are automatically enrolled and do not need to complete a School Benefit Application.
