AES Families — We Have a BIG Week Ahead! There is a lot happening in Tiger Town this week!

First, THANK YOU for an incredible Literacy Night last Thursday! We had such a wonderful turnout, and we loved seeing so many of our Tigers and their families learning, reading, and having fun together. Camp Read-A-Lot was a huge success because of you!

It’s Georgia Pre-K Week!
We are excited to celebrate our youngest Tigers and all of the learning, growing, and fun happening in our Pre-K classrooms. We love watching these little Tigers build the foundation for many successful years ahead!

Field Day is THIS WEEK from 8:00 AM–1:00 PM!
Tuesday: Pre-K & Kindergarten
Wednesday: 1st & 2nd Grade
Thursday: 3rd & 4th Grade
Friday: 5th Grade

Fall Break is next week! We hope our Tigers and families enjoy a well-deserved break, time together, and an opportunity to recharge. We look forward to having everyone back ready to finish October strong!

SAVE THE DATE — PTO Tiger Town Spooktacular! Friday, October 16 | 5:30–7:00 PM Our PTO have a FUN night planned with games, a cake walk, haunted house, slide, face painting, dancing, concessions, a costume contest, and more! We cannot wait to see our Tiger families back in Tiger Town for another great evening together.

We know there is a lot of excitement this week. Help us finish the week before Fall Break strong by making sure students are at school, on time, and ready to learn each day.
One of the simplest ways you can support learning at home is to READ every night (at least 20-30 minutes) and ask your child each afternoon: “What did you learn today?” Ask them to tell you something specific that they learned in reading, math, science, or social studies. Having students explain their learning helps reinforce what happened in the classroom—and lets them know that what they are learning matters!

Lots of fun ahead—but first, let’s have a GREAT week of learning and finish strong before Fall Break!

With love,
Meridith Wages Peck, Principal
